Adoption Fee Information

Cat Adoption - $105 Dog Adoption - $125 Rabbit Adoption - $50

Adoption fees include:

  • current vaccinations
  • spay/neuter surgery (all cats, dogs and rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to going to their new homes)
  • a microchip
  • a certificate for a free health exam at a participating VCA clinic

Should you choose to adopt an animal from spcaLA, you should bring the following items :

  • Verification that pets are allowed at your residence (landlords will also be called to verify this information).
  • Proof of address (driver’s license, checkbook, state I.D., etc.).
  • Cash, imprinted check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.
  • All family members or other dogs that reside in the household to insure that everyone gets along.
  • Patience: the adoption process can take 45 minutes to an hour, please allow ample time.
